The Uplands Program, Hohenheim University and Hanoi University of Agriculture are organizing the International Symposium on Sustainable Land Use and Rural Development in Mountain Regions of Southeast Asia on July 21-23, 2010 in Hanoi, Vietnam. This symposium will bring together scholars and practitioners so that they can share innovative methods of studying upland development; present multidisciplinary and integrated research outcomes; and discuss successful policy measures and development approaches which focus on balanced resource use, natural resource conservation, and poverty reduction.
